About Chainsaw Compatibility

Who built this

I'm a chainsaw owner who got tired of cross-referencing Oregon charts, parts catalogs, and forum threads every time I needed a replacement bar or chain. I built this for myself and opened it up for anyone in the same situation.

Where the specs come from

Each saw is cross-referenced against at least one of these before it gets added:

Bar and chain specs are pulled from Oregon's cross-reference guide unless the part is OEM-only. Every saw record has a source field so you can see exactly where the numbers came from.

Check before you order

Always verify specs against your saw's own markings before buying anything. Chain pitch and gauge are stamped on the bar rail or on the drive links. Drive link count is printed on your current chain's packaging.

Specs can vary by year and region, so treat this tool as a starting point, not a guarantee. When in doubt, check your OEM manual or ask a dealer before ordering, especially on pro saws.

Safety: A chain with the wrong pitch, gauge, or drive link count can throw, damage your bar or sprocket, and cause serious injury. Only run a chain that matches your bar and drive sprocket exactly.

Affiliate links

Some buy links include affiliate codes (Amazon Associates and others). Clicking them costs you nothing extra and the small commission helps keep the catalog updated. All affiliate links are labeled.
